The production of wine from ancient Greece to the present day does not differ significantly in terms of the basic principles of winemaking. Already in antiquity, the country was one of the world’s earliest winegrowing regions, and viticulture had reached a high level of artistry.

Although various social and political upheavals over the centuries hindered and sometimes even suspended the commercial production of Greece’s legendary ancient varieties, local production and the demand for these unique wines endured through the ages.

In today’s era of winemaking, modern techniques and production technologies are applied, but they work with the same high-quality raw material: the indigenous varieties of the Greek vineyard. Roditis, as one of many indigenous varieties, produces quality wines with rich aroma and distinctive color.

Thanks to passionate Greek winemakers, the Roditis variety and the wine produced from it are regaining their ancient prestige, offering wine lovers a modern style of wine that suits every occasion.
